Tuesday your team set up a bench and a tray. What is the first thing you check before any bolt comes out?

TODAY

  1. Journal, then phones in the caddy (8 min)
  2. Engine Lab Safety test on Chromebooks, 100 percent, then corrections on a full sheet into the basket (25 min)
  3. Cleared students: Foundation video, then the Anatomy of the Small Engine quiz. Not cleared: you are finishing safety (30 min)
  4. Meet your engine, cleared teams only: model tag, fuel valve off, plug wire off, tag photo (17 min)
  5. Cleanup and exit ticket (10 min)

DUE

Engine Lab Safety at 100 percent and the anatomy quiz by Tuesday 9/15. Contract uploaded, if you still owe it.

NEXT CLASS

Monday is 45 minutes. Teardown Part 1 starts Tuesday for cleared teams, and the camera comes out from the first bolt.

  2. The official shop rules against the list you wrote Thursday (20 min)
  3. Contract sprint: photo of your signed page into Canvas. No contract, no engine (12 min)
  4. General Shop Safety retakes to 100 percent, then corrections on a full sheet, into the basket (20 min)
  5. Teardown station setup by team: bench, tray, labels, one engine per team. Nobody opens anything (20 min)
  6. Cleanup and exit ticket (10 min)

Signed contract uploaded by midnight tonight. General Shop Safety at 100 percent, corrections in the basket.

NEXT CLASS

Charged Chromebook. Engine Lab Safety test, then the Foundation video and anatomy quiz. Your engine stays closed until both are done.

TODAY

  1. Journal, then phones in the caddy (8 min)
  2. Safety glasses: pick a rack slot, your name on the pair, then log in and take About You (22 min)
  3. Team challenge: every table the same height, every stool the same height, tools on the front bench (20 min)
  4. Debrief, then floor walk: extinguishers, exits, oily rag can, main shut off (15 min)
  5. General Shop Safety test on Chromebooks, 100 percent, retakes free (20 min)
  6. Cleanup and exit ticket, contract sheet goes home with you (5 min)

General Shop Safety at 100 percent before you touch an engine. Signed contract uploaded by Tuesday. Retakes are unlimited and cost you nothing.
